Blossom begins as black flowers hand-printed onto deep-red silk. By day it is closed and quiet, a garden holding its breath; when the light is lit at dusk the blossoms warm, open, and leave a low amber glow across the room. One silhouette, yet it speaks entirely differently with the hour.
A blackened-steel frame grounds the delicacy; because the silk is pleated by hand, no two shades are ever exactly alike. For an architect Blossom is less a product than a fixed point of warmth around which a whole space can be composed.

We keep no seasonal calendar. We will make a second collection not to complete the first, but when a feeling appears that deserves to be told on its own terms. That is why the Penah index grows slowly, and exactly why every issue within it endures. We begin with Blossom; the rest, when the time is right.
